What kind of wedding are you planning? A large extravagant event? Or a more intimate event with only a few friends and your family? Somewhere in between?
Weddings are so much fun to plan. Generally, the first 2 things booked are the venue and the photographer. I wanted to go over a few details of what to look for in a photographer.
If you plan to have the photographer at your wedding ceremony, be sure you choose one who has a second shooter figured into the package. There is so much going on and you don’t want to miss a minute of it!
At Toni Cox Photography, we have a second photographer as standard practice for every wedding. The second photographer arrives 30 minutes before the ceremony begins and gets shots of the groom and groomsmen getting ready, getting their flowers on and of the guests arriving. The main photographer is with the bride and her bridesmaids, and her family. When the wedding begins, one of the photographers waits towards the front of the room, with a good view of the groom, guests, and incoming bridal party. The other photographer is at the other end of the room, getting shots as the bridal party enters the room, and of the bride as she enters and walks up the aisle, but also in view of the groom. It is important to get that first glance when the bride and groom see each other for the first time on the wedding day.
We have packages that include the backup photographer staying throughout the reception, or with them leaving shortly after the ceremony.
We are happy to photograph weddings of any size. We have photographed some beautiful back yard weddings, as well as weddings in large venues. The important thing is to capture the feeling, and the love, of your wedding day.
You can book weddings through us that include the engagement session, bridal session, and entire wedding day. Or you can have only one session done. It is up to you. Often couples have a friend or family member who fancies themselves a photographer and allow them to do their engagement pictures. Then come to us to do the rest. We welcome those couples.
You are welcome to have children included in engagement sessions, or the bridal party and/or groom included in the bridal session. Sometimes even just the ring bearer and flower girls come to the bridal session for a few shots. It is up to you!
We have packages that include only the digital images with a print release, or packages that include enlargements in addition to the digital images. We also have packages that offer printed proofs, enlargements, and a custom album. We will design a package for you if we don’t already have one that fits your needs.
We shoot your wedding using natural light, or bring lighting if it is needed. We have a variety of props, chalkboards, benches, stools, and chairs to use when desired. We always have our brides give us access to their Pinterest boards so that we are aware of what poses and style they like. We love to hear your ideas and help you capture the day you have always dreamed of.
